In his drive to secure strong beachheads in the hospitality industry, luxury conglomerate LVMH Chairman Bernard Arnault has started acquiring the five-star Hotel Saint-Barth Isle de France and a storied Milanese café.

Strategists believe that his move in expanding into this field is so that he can own the spectrum of services to better understand consumer psyche and stay relevant with the luxury concept, which is constantly evolving. Consumers can start looking forward to LV/Prada style stays in LVMH brand-name hotels in the coming years.
